We are proud to host monthly Open Mic Nights, open to all members of the sober community. Inspired by the clinical evidence-based use of music and writing as therapy, attendees are encouraged to explore creative musical expression and poetry in a collaborative environment with sober peers in monthly jam sessions.
We host free monthly workshops that are open to the public, helping parents and caregivers to effectively address alcohol and drug use in children and teens. Led by our expert clinical team, this workshop format includes an educational lecture, followed by a question and answer session with experts in substance use, prevention and treatment. New York Center for Living also provides free educational lectures to schools and parent organizations within the city.
Our Professional Development Workshops are offered once a month, October through June. This monthly professional educational and networking event is designed to bring together mental health and addiction professionals to learn from each other and share best practices. Workshops are free to all professionals and students within the behavioral health industry and related fields. Pre-registration is appreciated. CEUs available for participation.
